Answer: When trying to pry off the horn button from a VW super beetle, you will feel like you've missed some screws somewhere or are going to break it. In fact, the horn button pries off just like older VW horn buttons have... sheer force. Try to apply the force across the entire horn button as much as possible (don't pry with a screwdriver or similar object). The plastic is old and is more prone to breaking than when it was newer. Eventually, with the right pressure applied, the horn button (which is the entire face of the steering wheel on a Super Beetle) will pop off. Installation is the reverse, just push it on hard and it will pop back into place.
